Effect of age of seedlings and split application of nitrogen on yield of rice (oryza sativa L.)

An experiment was conducted at Instructional Farm, Department of Agronomy, Faculty Agriculture, AKS University, Sherganj, Satna (M.P.) during Kharif season 2019-2020. The consisted randomize block design having Factorial arrangement in three replications. In this experiment, 12 treatment combinations including four different age seedlings D1-12 days, D2-18 D3-24 days and D4-30 old seedlings, while levels nitrogen viz., N1-100% RDN as basal, N2-50% basal + 50% tillering stage N3-50% 25% panicle initiation, it found that significantly affected number grains/panicle, thousand grain weight, Stover yield rice. Higher grains per rice recorded under the combination consisting transplanting 12- seedling with application split doses respective values 187.93. It concluded from highest hectare 64.61 q/ha.
